My Story
My first memories of Leney, or Galician carp, were during my early carp fishing experiences.
At 15 years old I caught a 15lbs zip linear from Patching Pond, which was local to me, and had spent 2 years trying to catch it....

For over 20 years, my objective has been to keep the Leney bloodline pure.
With 100% guaranteed genetics from the likes of Redmire Pool, I have carefully developed these Galician carp to produce the full range of scale variations.
I've been quietly working away in the background whilst others have crossed old Leneys with other strains.
As I have said in 'My Story', "Why would you want to change something that is already perfect". The fish I can produce have very good growth rates, and are exactly what anglers term as 'old English carp'.
Being an Angler from the age of 6, and a Carp Angler since 1980, you get to know when you've caught a 'special one', and year after year I've been able to hand pick the very special ones that become future broodstock to the future fingerlings.
With no interest in producing carp in great numbers, these are therefore 'Bespoke' carp that will appeal to the discerning carp angler.
I have seen my carp grow to 45lbs+ in gravel pits, and they are known to be a very long lived carp, that get even better looking with age.
Over the years, many Anglers lucky enough to catch one have reported it was simply "the best looking carp I've ever caught".
If I can give others the same pleasure they've given me over the years, and keep the bloodline pure, then it's well worth all the effort..
